Thank you for reading my essay and taking the time to comment on it. I disagree with your assertion. Gun rights advocates frequently say that if there was no gun the killer would simply have used another weapon. That is how I read the "Guns don't kill people..." slogan. You may perceive it differently, and that's fine, but that does not negate my point.
